Making Tummy Time Fun (And Less Fussy!)
Every parent knows tummy time is important - but that doesn't make it easier when your little one protests! Here are some parent-tested tips for making these essential moments more enjoyable.

At Home
Create a comfort zone: layer a soft blanket over a play mat for extra cushioning
Get down to their level: make eye contact and offer encouraging smiles
Use high-contrast toys: position black and white cards or mirrors where baby can see them
Start small: even 2-3 minutes counts in the beginning
Try chest-to-chest: recline and let baby lay on your chest - it still counts as tummy time!
At Canopy
Social motivation: babies naturally engage longer when they can see other little ones practicing nearby
Varied surfaces: different textures and angles help develop different muscle groups
Community support: share tips with other parents going through the same stage
Calming environment: our space is designed to be soothing, not overstimulating - perfect for focused practice
Remember: Every baby develops at their own pace. The goal isn't perfection - it's creating positive experiences that build strength and confidence.
